Australia’s next big motor racing star, Aidan Read, is delighted to announce a new long-term strategic collaboration with Australian watchmaker, Haigh & Hastings.

In 2015, at only 17 years of age, Read made his international car racing debut in the Formula Masters China Series (FMCS) with the hugely successful Eurasia Motorsport team.

He achieved two podium results and 13 top five finishes on his way to fifth in the final Drivers’ classification and then utterly dominated the 2016 Formula Masters China Winter Series, winning all three races at the Sepang International Circuit near the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.

It is testament to Read’s talent and potential that a new and innovative partnership with Haigh & Hastings has been forged.

Borne out of Read’s native Australia in 2014, the fast-evolving lifestyle watchmaker has expanded rapidly through its existing sporting and military associations, and it will now utilise Read’s emerging profile and motorsport prowess to further increase its global client base in Asia.

This newly-established partnership will enable Haigh & Hastings to embed its brand and ever-expanding range of timepieces into the minds of customers, consumers and fans at each of Read’s race meetings in 2016 and beyond.

Haigh & Hastings Co-Founding Managing Director, Simon Haigh, said: “This is an exciting collaboration between Haigh & Hastings and Aidan Read. We are delighted that, through this partnership, both parties will benefit from a joint brand awareness and sales campaign. The agreement will also facilitate fan engagement, physical brand exposure and two-way online digital exposure.”

Read added: “I have re-signed with Eurasia Motorsport to contest a full Formula Masters China Series campaign in 2016, which consists of 18 races and six rounds in China, Malaysia, Korea, Thailand and Taiwan. Partnering with Haigh & Hastings is a further demonstration of my ambition to progress upwards through the ranks on my way to an international and professional career, and I’m delighted to be showcasing this exciting Australian brand in the process.”
