Devon Modell will join the Henderson Insurance Brokers LMP3 Cup Championship at Snetterton this coming weekend (11-13 August, 2017) with Speedworks Motorsport alongside team regular Jack Butel.

Modell, who secured a podium position last time out at Suzuka in Blancpain GT Series Asia with Craft-Bamboo Racing, is no stranger to LMP3 machinery, having competed successfully in the Asian Le Mans Series earlier this year with Eurasia Motorsport.

He also has a strong history with Speedworks, having competing with them in the 24H Series in 2015; claiming the SP3 class title in the process.

“I’m really looking forward to racing LMP3 machinery again,” said Modell. “I had a great first experience at Sepang in January and I’m looking forward to repeating that at Snetterton this weekend. I get to test ahead of the event which will be really useful and I know the team pretty well as we had great success together in the past. I am looking forward to working with them once again.”

Speedworks joined the fledging LMP3 Cup Championship from the outset and currently sit third in the standings with two rounds remaining. The action this weekend kicks off with practice and qualifying on Saturday with the first race at 15.10. Sunday’s second one-hour race starts at 15.40.
