It is a big race weekend ahead at the Nürburgring Nordschleife for three of our BAM Motorsport Management’s drivers as they prepare for the fifth round of the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie, in Germany.
For Nicky Catsburg and Nick Yelloly, this is their final preparations for the ADAC Total 24-Hour race to be held at the same circuit in late September, teaming up together in the SP9 Pro class with the #99 ROWE Racing BMW M6 GT3.
While this is effectively a rehearsal for the 24-Hour race, it remains important to secure a strong result as this bring benefits into September’s blue-riband event in terms of status, fastest driver blue light colours, as well as valuable data for the team.
Nicky Catsburg has already shown his pace around the 20-kilometre circuit this year, taking victory with the same team last time out in the fourth round of the championship. Nick Yelloly meanwhile is more than familiar with the circuit as well, having won the qualifying race in 2019. Together with Nicky, makes for a formidable line-up.
Aidan Read meanwhile will compete with Walkenhorst Motorsport as he aims to complete the programme from 2019 and to achieve his A permit. To do so, the young Australian racer needs to finish in the top 75 percent of his class in the Purple Dot Performance prepared BMW M240i Racing Cup car.
