Fresh from victory on his LMP2 debut in the Asian Le Mans Series Finale in Sepang, Malaysia, Aidan Read has announced his participation in the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour race at the legendary Mount Panorama Circuit on the 3-5 February 2017
Aidan will drive a Ginetta G55 GT4 entered by Aylezo RA Motorsport, in a 4 driver line up which includes fellow Aussie Jake Parsons whom Aidan shared many battles with whilst contesting the Formula Masters Series in Asia in 2015..”
The drive will mark Aidan’s debut at the iconic Bathurst venue and his first return to racing on home soil in Australia since 2014, having been honing his talents and collecting victories across Asia since his Australian Formula Vee exploits 3 years back.”
Read teams up for the first time with Aylezo RA Motorsport, who enjoyed victory in the GT4 class in last December’s 12 Hours of Sepang, having impressed whilst competing against them in the Asian Le Mans Series in the LMP3 category.
On his impending debut at Mount Panorama Aidan said “This will be a key opportunity to develop my understanding of GT racing at a world-famous track. I’m very keen to see how I adapt to the new environment. The GT4 Ginetta should be a blast to drive around Bathurst. I’m looking forward to what will be a very special weekend.”
