Aidan Read will make his debut in the Creventic 24H Touring Car Endurance Series powered by Hankook later this month (31 March – 2 April) at Silverstone, the opening round of the championship, with OCC Racing with Newbridge.

Aidan, who has already confirmed that he will be testing with Algarve Pro Racing in the European Le Mans Series test next month, joins Devon Modell and Team Principal Sponsor Dr. Fareed Ali, as well as two other soon-to-be-announced drivers in the #249 Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport.

“My first 24H race will present many new challenges and another dimension to past races,” Aidan explained. “The Silverstone 24H with OCC Racing with Newbridge is a key opportunity to adapt to the 24H scene. I’ve raced in GT4 previously at Bathurst and I’m looking forward to driving at yet another iconic track in a Porsche Cayman, which I know will be a thrill to drive.

“After spending the last few months in the Aussie summer, I think I’ll be in for a real shock heading to a crispy cold Silverstone, the weather will be another element of change which will be great to expose myself to.

“I met Devon in Malaysia recently, we get on well and I think we’ll make a good team. I’m looking forward to it!”

The 24H of Silverstone gets underway 16.00 Saturday 1 April.
