Aidan Read heads to the Blancpain GT Series Asia season finale which takes place at the new Zhejiang Circuit in China this coming weekend (13-15 October).

The new facility is 200 kilometres south of Shanghai and features 16 turns, two long straights and a tight and twisty run through the mountains which Aidan hopes will suit the characteristics of his #1 Lamborghini Huracan GT3.

He and teammate Alberto Di Folco are fifth in the Silver standings with 103 points after ten rounds, having notched up points in every race. For Aidan, who lead the last round outright for the first time, the event marks the conclusion of his first season of GT3 racing with FFF Racing and the chance to end his impressive season on a high.

“This weekend we’re heading to a new track and the focus will be on developing an understanding of the layout and making quick progress with setup and pace,” he said. “This added uncertainty will mix up the timing screens, and present an opportunity to out-perform.

“If we can use our experience as a team and capitalise on the change, we can achieve a season best result. This would cap off my first year in GT3 very nicely, so game on.”

Practice takes place on Friday with the first race at 2pm local time on Saturday. The final round is Sunday at 10.50. Full details available here
