Tony Wells and Colin Noble finished third in the second Michelin Le Mans Cup race at Spa-Francorchamps after a great move on the #26 Graff from the latter at the “bus stop” chicane secured the team’s first podium with the new Duqueine M30-D08.

Sven Thompson, Team Principal
“It’s a good result and a relief to get the first podium of the season, plenty of positives. We had an electrical gremlin that unfortunately grounded the #20 Grainmarket car in the pitlane which was an unfortunate end to their weekend. With car #10 we made good steps forward to bring them more in line with car #7 but I think we still have a few changes to make overnight, based on what we learned today, to help them in the ELMS race on Sunday”

Tony Wells, #7
“I’m very happy with that result, but I did miss going to the podium properly. But it was really good and great to keep up our record here at Spa Francorchamps. The car was nice to drive – we did well – the start was okay, just need to find more pace in qualifying, but a positive result”

Colin Noble, #7
“It was a fairly tough race, but we got the result. Tony had a good stint, closing down on the leading pack and I when I got in there was a little work to do. We got our heads down and took our chances when we got them. It’s a good result and we need to build on this, get higher up on that podium and go for the race wins as the season progresses.”
