Nick Catsburg will get his hands on a Larbre Competition-prepared Chevrolet Corvette C7.R in the official 24 Heures du Mans test at Circuit de la Sarthe on Sunday (5 June).
The Dutchman – a Spa 24 Hours winner – was due to contest the next instalment of the WeatherTech United SportsCar Championship at Raceway at Belle Isle Park, Detroit until family commitments for his Black Swan Racing teammate Tim Pappas put the brakes on the weekend..
However, this last-minute change of plans paved the way for Catsburg to drive Larbre Competition’s Corvette in the forthcoming official Le Mans test, which precedes the legendary French endurance classic in two weeks’ time (18-19 June).
Fresh from his outing in the Nurburgring 24 Hours, a thrilled Catsburg said: “I am really pleased to have this opportunity to drive Larbre Competition’s Corvette in the official 24 Heures du Mans test. It’s quite unexpected, having been put together so last-minute, but it’s a really nice surprise. It’s true that every driver wants to experience Circuit de la Sarthe and it will be a privilege to take to the track in a Corvette C7.R, prepared by a very professional and skilled team.”
