Kevin Gleason is aiming to put the difficult Singapore race weekend behind him as he gets set for Round 10 of the TCR International Series this weekend (30 September – 1 October, 2016) at the Sepang Circuit, Malaysia.

Gleason returned to the WestCoast Racing fold in Singapore, racing the familiar Honda Civic TCR, but despite great promise, left the Grand Prix venue disappointed after incidents aplenty resulted in eighth and tenth places finishes.

“I am looking forward to the Sepang weekend and putting Singapore behind me,” Gleason said. “It was frustrating having lost out on reverse grid pole position and then getting spun on the opening lap of race two after a good start, so I am ready to start fresh.”

Having raced with WestCoast Racing throughout last year, Gleason is familiar with the demands of the 5.543km Hermann Tilke-designed circuit, claiming pole position last year before finishing a solid sixth.

“The Sepang circuit was kind to me last year earning my first ever TCR series Pole Position,” Gleason continued. “So I have some good memories. This year it is re-paved with some camber changes so we will see how much different it is to last season.

“I just hope to have a smooth weekend and let things fall where they may and I will give it my best effort to fight for some good results.”

Race 1 gets underway Friday at 17.45 local time, with the second race following Formula 1 qualifying on Saturday at 15.30. Live streaming is available at the official TCR International Series website.
