Aidan Read attended the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) and Formula Vee Association of Western Australia (FVAWA) award nights recently and was presented with both the State and Club Championship 2nd place trophies for his impressive efforts in Formula Vee 1200.

At the CAMS event, in his acceptance speech and brief Q&A session with renowned Australian Motorsport journalist, TV presenter and Master of Ceremonies, Greg Rust, Read thanked the CAMS for their support of local motorsport, while acknowledging the assistance and guidance the FVAWA have offered during his time racing with them.

Asked whether he had any plans for the future, Read began by outlining his recent test and racing activities before continuing with his program for 2015, which is to include competing in the Formula Masters China Series with Eurasia Motorsport.

With an ultimate goal of becoming a professional race driver, Read went on to confirm his aim of competing in the higher echelons of motorsport in Asia and Europe, which was well received by the attending guests of CAMS.

At a later FVAWA awards night gathering, Read thanked all members and sponsors of the association for their continued support over the previous two years and all the other drivers for the great 2014 racing season, to which the President wished him well for his future and confirmed that they would all be watching his progress with great interest.
