WestCoast Racing lands on German soil for Rounds 11 and 12 of the 2016 TCR International Series at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben (18-19 June).

The Swedish team is looking to cut its 43-point deficit in the championship standings as the season hits its mid-point on the Saxony-Anhalt racetrack with a streamlined two-driver line-up consisting of Italy’s Gianni Morbidelli and Russia’s Mikhail Grachev.

The men who will be in charge of bringing their white ‘Step 2’ Honda Civic TCRs home in a top position have both won races in 2016, Grachev most recently scaling the top step of the winners’ rostrum on his first two outings with WestCoast Racing at Imola and the Salzburgring.

Dazzling qualifying efforts were somewhat overshadowed by a penalty and typically eventful starts to the races at the Salzburgring, and so WestCoast Racing is simply looking for a quiet weekend where it can maximise its drivers race craft to home in on the leading Craft-Bamboo squad.

WestCoast Team Owner, Greger Petersson, said “We are hoping for a solid weekend without dramas, because that is what we need at the moment. We know we have a strong package, we just need to get it all together at the same time.”
