Coming to the fourth round of TCR China, Teamwork Motorsport heads to the second brand new circuit on TCR China calendar in Ningbo, which recently hosted rounds of the WTCC and CTCC.

After a successful partnership with Team Leopard driver Jean-Karl Vernay in Zhejiang, Car #31 and driver Alex Hui now stands third in the championship just 20 points to the leader.  With a maximum of 75 points each weekend, a fight for the title is still very-much possible.

A championship challenge is only possible when drivers are back up by great engineering team.  Fernando Furlan, who worked with former F1 legend Rubens Barrichello in his Brazilian Stock Car V8 Series era, joined Teamwork Motorsport and Volkswagen CTCC engineering force early 2017 and has been part of the Teamwork TCR China programme from the outset.

“We were here couple weeks ago with the Volkswagen CTCC Team, and have collected great amount of data about this circuit,” Furlan said. “It’s always important to have additional data when it comes to a new circuit, every tiny bit counts.

“Our engineering team have been analysing the Ningbo circuit and the Golf TCRs, so we already have a head start compare with some competitors and we will certainly use what we’ve learned earlier to help our Teamwork TCR drivers.”

After the Ningbo race weekend, the Golf TCRs will be packed and get ready for the Macau GP, which will be held on 16-19 Nov. Back at Teamwork’s headquarters in Guangdong, the SUNCITY Peugeot RCZs are also at the final stage of testing.  Drivers Paul Poon, Samson Fung, and Alex Fung are ready to lead the SUNCITY RCZs to their third consecutive win in Macau GP.

TCR China at Ningbo will take place on 28-29 Oct.  Broadcast will be available on the http://sports.qq.com channel.
