Just two weeks after a winning weekend on the streets of Yancheng, Teamwork Motorsport arrives at the Beijing FASC Circuit for the eighth and final round of the SINOPEC LUBRICANTS China Touring Car Championship (5-8 November).

The Beijing-based racetrack, operated by the Federation of Automobile Sports of PRC, hosts the highly anticipated 2015 CTCC finale and its 1.7km configuration makes it even shorter than the Yancheng Street Circuit, where Teamwork Motorsport’s Alex Hui saw off his CTCC counterparts to achieve a race victory.

Hui will be replaced by customer driver, Kevin Pu, although CTCC regular Sunny Wong will remain in the second of two Teamwork Motorsport Citroen C-Elysees and the latter is naturally hoping for a strong end to the season.

“I am quite happy with our progress throughout this entire season,” said Wong. “The real challenge will be next year, when we will face more competitors who have upgraded to the 2.0T class.  But I believe we will have the upper-hand because we are one of the teams that decided to test out 2016’s parts one year ahead. We will definitely fine-tune many areas during winter.

“This weekend we are at the Beijing FASC Circuit, which is shorter and tighter than the Yancheng Street Circuit.  Previously, I noticed our Citroens are better on large circuits, so we will need some sort of breakthrough if we want to finish strongly in the final round of the CTCC.  Also, it’s a lot colder here in Beijing and we will have to see how these new compound tyres perform.”
