Teamwork Motorsport’s driver line-up is once again made up of Sunny Wong and Alex Hui. Both have two years of CTCC experience and, before their championship debut in 2014, entered other categories such as the Hong Kong Touring Car Championship (HTCC), TCSA, the Macau Grand Prix and other well-known endurance events.
This year, the CTCC introduces a two-race format to its 2.0T class, which will place more of an emphasis on driving tactics and tyre allocation.
Hui said: “I am sure the new race format will be welcomed by CTCC drivers and the audience. This certainly adds excitement and it’s completely new to teams and drivers in terms of preparation and strategy, but I believe it’s the correct direction and a good evolution for the CTCC.”
Wong added: “We had a few days of pre-season testing with the car. We have some bodywork upgrades and I think we still need to do some fine-tuning when we arrive at the Nanjing Circuit. This is a new track to many of the drivers, so nobody really has an advantage going into this weekend. Our team worked really hard during the winter and into the spring, so I hope I can deliver the best results to them.”
The opening two races of the 2016 China Touring Car Championship (CTCC) will be live-streamed on the official www.ctcc.com.cn website, but please stay tuned for more Teamwork Motorsport-related updates.
