After a five-week break, the TCR Asia Series will resume at the Sepang International Circuit this weekend (1-2 October, 2016), a circuit well-known by many Asia drivers. Piloting the two VW Golf TCR race cars are Teamwork Revo drivers Kevin Tse and Bill O’Brien.
Currently second overall in championship points is Macanese driver Kevin Tse, who is looking forward to the remainder of the championship. “I’ve put in a lot of effort this year in my racing and also have learned a lot,” he said. “Not only do I want to do well in the TCR Asia programme, but also in preparation for the Guia Race of Macau GP in November.
“I’ve been training myself hard in the previous months, both mentally and physically,” he continued. “I guess I am a few sizes down now compare to the beginning of the season. I am definitely giving my best this year in the Macau Grand Prix.”
Bill O’Brien originally planned to race only half of the TCR Asia season, but has now committed until the end of the season and also in Macau Grand Prix.
“Teamwork Revo fleet has put together a strong package, so I am honoured and have great confidence to race with them to the conclusion of the TCR Asia season and also the Macau GP Guia Race,” the American racer stated.
The Sepang Malaysia round of the TCR Asia Series this weekend supports the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
