The Champion SV Racing team is delighted to announce a new sponsor with a leading London-based Forex trading company, CWM FX. This partnership will run during the 2015 campaign in the Renault UK Clio Cup, as successful club racer Ben Seyfried joins the fold.

The Cheshire-based squad had a superlative maiden season under the sole leadership of Danny Buxton: 21 race wins, 38 podium finishes, 10 pole positions and 19 fastest laps en route to title glory in many of the UK’s most competitive one-make championships, and now a prestigious title sponsorship deal with CWM FX.

CWM FX is not only the new title sponsor of SVR team, but its growing portfolio of sponsorships also include Chelsea Football Club, Wigan Warriors rugby league, CWM LCR Honda in MotoGP, CWM Cyclone boxing promotions, Sport Industry Breakfast Club and the sponsorship of the Outstanding Contribution to Sport Award in 2015.

The UK Clio Cup provides fast-paced, door handle-to-door handle racing and is widely regarding as the proving ground for touring car stars of the future, as well as those drivers targeting professional careers in sportscar and GT racing.

A coveted spot on the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) support package means the series benefits from huge trackside audiences in excess of 40,000 and first class live television coverage on the ITV network, making it a true value proposition for sponsors like CWM FX.

James Farge, joint CEO of the Green Room Group said: “It’s an incredibly exciting period and we have been able to put together a great package. SV Racing was the most obvious choice as the reigning Renault UK Clio Cup Champion team, as its achievements are compatible with what we want to deliver. There’s no one better in UK Clio Cup. What really interests us is the opportunity to get involved with British motorsport and the high levels of exposure that the TOCA package provides; with 20million terrestrial television viewers and 400,000 trackside spectators turning up annually, it is something to get incredible excited about.”

Craig Droste, General Manager of CWM FX added: “The financial industry requires discipline, training and quick decision making, sharing many of the key attributes necessary to be successful in the racing world. Ben Seyfried and SV Racing team have an abundance of talent and commitment to the sport. We look forward to supporting them on the quest to win the Renault UK Clio Cup in this new exciting season.”

Esteemed club racer Seyfried will pilot the first of four CWM FX-backed machines, which will all sport identical liveries to the CWM LCR Honda Moto GP bike ridden by Cal Crutchlow. The 40-year old from Somerset, has frequented the UK’s most famous racetracks for over 25 years, most notably becoming a triple Super Mighty Minis Champion and Fun Cup Vice Champion during his quarter of a century in many of the nation’s most competitive club racing arenas.

Commenting on his new challenge, Seyfried said: “The significant involvement with CWM FX is very exciting, but my undertaking is huge and I’ll be up against some really good drivers in the Renault UK Clio Cup. I will need to raise my game and I know there’s still a lot to learn with the Clio Cup car – every day in a race car is a learning day and the transition during testing hasn’t been easy – but I bring a cool, calm head and maturity, as well as a keen desire to get stuck in. I’m out to have fun and I’m thrilled to be racing for the best team on the grid. I’m not keen on the idea of trailing around at the back.”

SV Racing Director, Danny Buxton, said: “I’m absolutely delighted to announce our partnership with CWM FX. It’s a significant achievement for SVR and provides a superb platform for us to expand together in the British Touring Car Championship environment. There are key synergies between our strategic ambitions and the sporting ventures already operating within the CWM FX sponsorships. The collaboration will deliver many exciting opportunities to both sides and I can’t wait to get started.”
