JRZ Suspension Engineering is set to expand its operation by basing itself at the world-renowned Nurburgring in Germany through its freshly-forged association with Rotek Racing.
The Holland and USA-based firm has more than half a century of experience in Research and Development of suspension and damper design for racing, rallying, high performance road cars and industrial applications, bringing new and revolutionary thinking to this specialised sector of the automotive and motorsport industries.
JRZ was founded in 1994 and utilised decades of knowledge and newly-acquired insights into the complexity of vehicle dynamics to completely transform damper design.
It continues to push the boundaries today through extensive road and track testing programmes with various worldwide partners and aims to make use of its newly-formed relationship with the Rotek Racing team to break new ground.
Rotek Racing – a regular in the German VLN Endurance Championship, which emphatically sealed Audi’s first ever 25-hour race victory in the 2013 National Auto Sport Association (NASA) 25 Hours of Thunderhill (7-8 December) – operates from a workshop at the daunting Nurburgring Nordschleife, which stretches for 14 miles through Germany’s Eifel Mountains and has earned a notorious reputation as the world’s most demanding race track.
And, in an extension of its current partnership, JRZ is set to utilise Rotek’s Nurburgring facility and technical staff to serve new customers, with ‘The Ring’ an ideal proving ground on which to test new road and track developments.
“JRZ has a rich and successful history in motorsport and its relationship with Rotek Racing will allow it to serve new customers at the Nurburgring from the team’s facility, as we work together on new road and track developments,” said Erik Ras, JRZ’s Chief Operating Officer – Worldwide. “It will be incredible to have a permanent presence at ‘The Ring’ and, while we are constantly testing with other race teams, we’re really keen to work more closely with Rotek, particularly on developments for its Audi TTRS racer.”
JRZ will showcase its latest products and innovations at the 2013 Performance Racing Industry (PRI 2013) show at the Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis later this week (12-14 December) and encourages everybody to visit its display at Booth 330 in the Green Hall.
