After a three-month hiatus, the FIA World Touring Car Championship will be back in action this coming weekend (14-15 October) at Ningbo International Speedpark and for Kevin Gleason, the return to racing action cannot come soon enough.

The RC Motorsport racer made a big step in setup and confidence ahead of the second race in Argentina last time out and Gleason is ready to fight for regular points in the final races of the season in China, Japan, Macau and Qatar.

“I am really looking forward to getting back on track in China this weekend after such a long break,” he said. “Many drivers have been testing and racing in other series but unfortunately for me, the last time I saw a race track was Argentina!

“I’m confident that we’ll be competitive and what my engineer and I learned in Argentina will translate right away to performance and we make the step forward in qualifying and the races.

“It’s a brand-new track for everyone, so we will all start from zero. The track walk will be extra important. We’ll analyse every detail so that we can be as prepared as possible for free practice.”

Qualifying gets underway Saturday at 15.15 local time with the opening race Sunday at 14.30. Click here for the full schedule.
