FFF Racing Team by ACM added yet another championship to its already impressive 2018 tally, clinching the Super Trofeo Asia Pro honours after a fantastic recovery drive from Andrea Amici and Artur Janosz in race one at the Vallelunga World Finals.

The duo enjoyed a comfortable 25-point margin at the head of the championship, but an incident in Thursday practice meant that they would start at the back of the field for the first race. Undeterred both drivers put in strong performances to finish third overall, behind teammates James Pull and Jack Bartholomew, clinching the title in the process.

“From the first day at FFF Racing, I found at team that was very professional but also when there was some free time, we had a lot of fun together,” said Janosz. “The atmosphere was excellent. With Andrea Amici we quickly become very good friends and it was easy to work together. We liked very similar set-ups, so for both of us it was a perfect. We had a few hard races in this year, but also some brilliant moments.

“I stayed for the second season at Super Trofeo Asia to fight for the championship. The whole year we were on the top and at the weekend, we won the title. It was a great year for me and I’m happy to be a part of Lamborghini Squadra Corse and FFF family.”

The World finals on Saturday saw the newly crowned Asian champions secure a fine third position, while Sunday’s grand finale brought Amici and Janosz a strong fifth place finish.

“It’s a fitting end to a very strong season for us,” stated Team Principal Andrea Caldarelli. “Together with Lamborghini, we raised our game and the results have followed. We started the season with a competitive winning package in Super Trofeo Middle East; battled hard and won the Blancpain GT Series Asia and now have added to this success. It’s been a near perfect season in clinching the Super Trofeo Asia championship. Congratulations to the team and a big thank you for all of the hard work.”

Having claimed Super Trofeo Asia, Middle East and the Blancpain GT Series Asia titles this year, FFF Racing will unveil its 2019 racing programme in due course.
