After a month-long interval since Shanghai in May, international motorsport group Cebu Pacific Air by KCMG, travels to Northern China to take on Formula Masters China Series’ Rounds 7-9 at Ordos International Circuit from July 5-7.

Cebu Pacific Air by KCMG drivers, Akash Nandy and Ronald Wu are primed for the new challenge that awaits them this weekend. Third on the leaderboard with 65 points, the team is set to conquer the highly technical and undulating 3.75km circuit with complex corners that will require each driver’s utmost skill.

After clinching two podiums and, notably, his first pole position of the season in Shanghai, Malaysian driver Akash Nandy is ready to vie for victory in Ordos this weekend.  Hong Kong teammate Ronald Wu is also focused on setting the pace early and aims to secure top positions over Formula Masters’ three rounds.

Akash Nandy, Cebu Pacific Air by KCMG Driver: “It’s great to be back at Ordos and I’m excited to race on this highly demanding circuit. After over a month’s break, I’m happy to be back to racing ways again, as it was a long wait since Shanghai. I am really looking forward to getting back in the car and going all out again. Also, I’m keen in learning and to improve more this weekend.”

Ronald Wu, Cebu Pacific Air by KCMG Driver: “Ordos will be a completely new experience for me. The track is very short but very technical, so I will need to adapt to it as soon as possible. We are lucky to have an extra session on Thursday so hopefully we can get a lot of practice time and learn as much as possible. After two races with the team, we’ve found a good rhythm to work together so we can communicate easier and work more efficiently. I am looking forward to getting back into the car after a long break, and achieving the best possible result.”

John O’Hara, KCMG Deputy Managing Director: “We had an encouraging outing during May in Shanghai and we intend to build on from that progress here at Ordos. Akash and Ronald have been working hard with the entire team and we’re expecting a great race weekend with solid results.”
