Aidan Read is delighted to confirm his inclusion as the latest member of the Lamborghini Squadra Corse GT3 Junior Program.
The programme selects talented drivers from around the world and as well as his ongoing racing duties, Aidan will become an official test and development driver – where he will be involved in the ongoing development of Huracan GT3.
“Lamborghini is iconic for striking cars and racing pedigree,” Aidan began. “My place in the GT3 Junior Program presents the chance to learn from some of the best in the business.
“I am very proud to represent Lamborghini this year in the Blancpain GT Asia Series, and contribute to the brand’s motorsport culture. It is an exciting prospect to be part of a such a large organisation at this point in my career. I’ll be working at my maximum to honour the commitment shown to me by Lamborghini.”
Aidan, who joined FFF Racing by ACM to compete in the Blancpain GT Series Asia this year, will also take part in a full athletic and dietary programme and act as a brand ambassador for the Italian marque.
David Madgwick Managing Director of Aidan’s Management Company, BAM Motorsport, said: “At the start of the year we were looking at a number of career routes for Aidan following his success in single seaters.
The seat at FFF Racing was attractive and the added incentive of joining the GT3 Academy was the tipping point in making the decision. Lamborghini Squadra Corse continue to show a progressive and committed approach to developing young drivers and that’s what we were looking for Aidan.”
